I had a bit of a shock to my system in the form of bad news last week, that has set me back a bit. Im here at work this morning and feeling on a low ebb. :(

Does anyone know of any pick me ups that i could take to give me a bit of a helping hand? Not even the morning sun is brightening my mood today. Just something herbal or equivalent. These moods usually lift after a week or two but i hate being in bad form when the weather is nice.

    Thanks.

Have a word with your GP or pharmacist.

yeah. Physical exercise - walk fast, dance. Put a smile on your face. Sing loudly. Any of these will do it. (actually, it can be a really sad song - just so long as you sing loudly and with all your heart.)

Hope that helps. I know they sound crazy, but they do actually work.

Rescue Remedy is quite good in times of stress or anxiety. Probably best to get it in tincture form as opposed to tablets. I hope you work through whatever it is that is going on and that you are feeling better soon.

I agree with JC on the physical exercise. A really long fast walk in some nice park or buy the beach always picks me up.

The release of those endorphins is the most natural high you can get..

st john's wort is a popular herbal anti depressant.
However, forget your gp or pharmacy, your bad news will not get any better regardless of anything you take, get up and get out and about, phone a friend, family etc.. Distraction is really the best therapy, no it will not make it any easier but at least you'll get a break from thinking about it constantly.
    good luck :)

Think you need prescription for that, interferes withe the pill or something.

Go to the gym, you feel great after it & looking better makes you feel better too
