Ignorant sellers making bad auctions- ebay partly to blame.

Trying to buy stuff on ebay does my head in sometimes. A lot of the fault is on ebay. The majority of buyers do not know how ebay works, and it seems many sellers are not much wiser.

I was looking at tickets for a concert in dublin. The majority of sellers are in the UK and list the item as being on sale to UK only, or only give UK selling prices. Idiots have just made the auction less appealling to many. Some auctions are set up so even if I did email them and ask for postage I would not be allowed to bid since my address is wrong (a way around this is changing your country to england just to place a bid).

At the moment an Irish lad has 4 auctions with pairs of tickets I want. But his title says 2xtickets, the info says 2xtickets. But then at the bottom of the auction it has quantity with 1 or 2 selectable. So it is not clear what he is selling at all. I presume he has 8 tickets, 2 in each auction. The item is listed with 2x in the title so the buyer should presume the bid is for both.

But it looks like he is going to end up with 8 winners of the auction, since his quantity is 2 in each so I think if there are 2 bidders they each win and each expect 2 tickets.

I have emailed lots of sellers but have no replies as they are soon to end.

It is clearly in ebays interest to stop all this confusion, but the bastards do very little to clarify/remedy these constantly repeated issues. If you are going to sell on ebay at least review your auction beforehand. They should really have good & bad examples with common mistakes pointed out.
