clubs in california/vegas

hey guys heading in a few weeks to cali for the summer

taking in the likes of san diego ,san francisco and sin city

where are the best clubs /bars in these cities any ideas where best spots are??

heard rumours that in vegas actors gather outside pretending to form a queue when you head in the club /bar is empty any truth????:pac:

nearly every hotel on the strip has a nightclub and tonnes of bars

some of the top clubs in vegas include
pure at caesars palace
body english at hard rock
rain at palms
jet at mirage
lax at luxor
tao at venetian
the bank at bellagio

my favourite bars in vegas are
voodoo lounge at rio hotel
ghostbar at palms
mix at mandalay bay
carnival court at harrahs
revolution at mirage
Peppermill's Fireside Lounge

havent been out in San Francisco for 8 years so the nightlife has probably changed big time

btw never heard or seen that thing you mention happening in vegas (what a stupid waste of time that would be for clubs) weekends nights will be packed to the rafters so hit the vegas clubs and bars during the midweek when the crowds are comfortable and you can actually move, thursday nights are good, decent crowds in rain, bank etc but still not overly packed so that you are stuck to the wall all night :mad:

I think you'd be best checking out a site dedicated to reviewing bars/restos/clubs like www.yelp.com to get the most up-to-date info.

reccommend rain at the palms, its excellent. fairly lengthy queue though.
saw that crazy bloke from the police acadamey films there, zed or whatever his name was!!

With vegas all i seem to hear about is you have to pay for tables etc....

Is there places where you just queue walk in go to the bar as you would her

you can walk into any club in vegas but you will most likely be standing most of the night. There is something called VIP guest lists (bottle service) in vegas clubs which basically means you pay (extra) through the nose to sit at a roped off table while the ordinary people stand. Paris, britney, lindsay, federline and jenna jameson endulge in this all the time at vegas clubs

Depending on the night you may be lucky to get a free seat in some clubs, last couple of times in bellagio club (then called light) we got seats for free and bellagio is probably the 2nd classiest hotel in vegas after the Wynn.
