I've used www.auctionsniper.com a few times successfully. However the last time I think it did not work properly.

One time I put my max bid of like €50 or whatever and instead of it bidding 1c above the last guy, it just bid €50. Even though the bid before that was way lower...

Another time it bid at 2 seconds to go and I got beaten by a guy at 1 second to go...

Any idea why this happens? There is an auction I really want to win tomorrow, I want to be sure

Sounds like it is working correctly to me, seems you still might not know how ebay works yourself.

Post up the ebay numbers to the 2 auctions you are confused about and I will see if I can tell you what happened.

You said the bid below was way lower. How do you know what the bid was? The number shown is not the persons max bid.

If the previous bid was 20, and you bid 50 and won at 50. Then it means they bid showing at 20 probably had a max bid of around 49.

When you snipe all these actions happen immediately, and times shown are not always correct.

Sounds very typical and sounds like it is working fine.
