245 was always gonna be a few too many I'd say. The batting department doesn't seem to be the strongest at the moment, Porterfield is really the only one you'd expect to make a significant contribution. Bowling looks reasonably competent though. Thing is its a totally different team from the one that did so well in the WC. As far as I see only O'Brien, McCallan, White and P'field were the only survivors from that campaign on yesterday's team.

Was at the match yesterday, first time at Stormont, very nice ground, middling decent sized crowd, yet chilly with an easterly breeze that warranted the fleece being put back on a few times.

Leicestershire got a wake-up call with Rampaul bowling New first ball, what a start, but Ackerman and Dippenaar timed their innings well to help the likes of Nixon push the rate up just before the end.

And Porterfield was playing so well. First ball of the innings for 4, nicely nurdled innings, great running between the wickets with Strydom at a decent lick. And yet he got out to a daft shot to cover. Wilson was caught behind by Nixon, diving high to his left, taking a blinding catch.

I'd agree that 40 more runs told the tale.

was at the game too, was nice to be able to go into the pavilion and get some decent food!
porty was doing great but nearly all the team got out to stupid shots, stirlings was daft had hoped i'd see him get a decent score and as for the run-out, never a single.
nixon did take a great catch but can't remember who was batting with wilson at the time should've told him that nixon was moving for the sweep two shots before and not to chance his arm, it was very clever keeping though.
nice day out, here's hoping that when i see them in clontarf they'll get a second win.
