Firefox bookmarks?

    I just downloaded the new Firefox (Gaeilge) and thought it had imported my favourites, but apparently not.

    I'd zapped the old one with AppZapper, but it and its bits are still in the trash. (Though when I took it out and opened it, it was also bookmarkless).

    How do I reclaim my favourites in the new version?

    If the worst comes to the worst, I have an external backup from about six months ago that should have Firefox on it, and will have things like the address for updating my blog, the contributor system for work, etc.

    My bookmarks for Firefox are in Library>Application Support>Firefox>315x5o23.default>bookmarks.bak

    Do you have anything there or in your trash?

    I've now realised that this is one of those things you can't change. Om mane padme hummmmm. Tried moving the bookmarks.html from the trash into the new Firefox's folder but it didn't work. My bookmarks are gone.

    Hello,

    Did you look in the location that Gordon suggested? You should see a whole list of backup bookmarks e.g bookmarks-xxxx.html, where xxxx are numbers. Rename the most recent one by deleting the number and it becomes your new bookmarks. If there is nothing in this location (possibly because appzapper removed all references to firefox, then I'd say you are goosed.
