Is there no copy and paste in Opera mini.
It's a nice quick browser but atleast with Pocket IE, Opera Mobile and Netfront there's copy and paste.
So is there any facility to copy and paste text at all?

don't think so - the only thing is you can copy links to, e.g., paste them into a post!
Opera mini's competitor teashark lets you copy and paste... www.teashark.com
it's still in beta, and though it lacks some of om's features (and loads a bit more data), it has some nice touches and advantages, and I find it very very reliable, though it doesn't work on many models yet!

    OK thanks.
The way everyone here raves about Opera Mini, I thought it would have the basic functionality of Copy and Paste tbh.
I'd gotten so used to proper functionality on browsers like PocketIE, Opera Mobile and Netfront.
Can't see a way of backing up Opera Mini favourites either.
Otherwise though i have to say Opera Mini is very fast and really reduces the amount of data downloadad.
    I'll check out Teashark, thanks.

Guess the selling point of om is really its speed and the vastly reduced data consumption. As to backing up your favourites: om lets you sync your phone faves with your pc's favourites! Thats kind of a backup, surely?!

Eh, you can''t copy and paste.

But it knocks Pocket Explorer into a tophat for speed and site navigation.

    And it's free.

Yeah Opera mini's speed and data compression seems a lot better than the other browsers.

But it just lacks added functionality- e.g another thing is no proper security with online shopping or banking.

The other browsers AFAIK have that functionality. Opera mobile IIRC and netfront (when it was available for WM) did anyway.

For browsing alone Opera Mini is great though.
