only realised whn I loaded into Lightroom, although I had an inkling on the way home because of the shutter speeds...I would really like an auto-reset ISO feature...

Still, got some that I like...

i really like the effect lomo'esque
You could try turn down the viberance and exposure in lightroom

What kind of camera are you using? Mine has an auto iso function - although I don't really use it myself. I must use it and see how well it works now that I think of it...

auto ISO is the work of Satan.

400 - looks good, not seeing too much noise

I made that mistake too with one of my favourite shot. I think the little bit of noise really suits the second picture there though.

    Is noise the black corners?

I think what the OP actually meant was some automatic way of resetting the ISO (and maybe some other settings like exposure compensation) back to a predetermined default, say after the camera is switched off for a set time or something like that.

    no that's vinigaretting:pac:

A noisy picture would have a grainy look to it. These pics actually seems ok for noise. Nice colours!

I was down in Glendalough last weekend, shooting away.
The shutter speeds seemed a bit odd to me & then I realised that I was on ISO 400.
Luckily, I could walk back & get the shots again.

The worst thing about changing between sport & landscape, is that you have to remember to change every setting back.

I think you did well with your shots though.

Yeah, that's what I meant alright - a setting that would return your ISO to 100 (or whatever) when you turn the camera on. I'd say that ISO accidents are pretty common

But on digital there's hardly gonna be any noise on an ISO 400 photo, why would you go back and take the shots again?

For me it's more likely Id have left the camera on 1600 from taking some pix inside a church or something and forgot to turn it back.

Lens used for all of these was Sigma 10-20 F4/5.6. I went out specifically to get a shot of the tulips as I pass them twice everyday and I know they'll be gone soon.
The others, I just spent a half hour taking shots of the chimneys - it was a lovely day and one of the chimneys was belching out smoke (or steam) in a way I haven't seen in a long time.
I hiked up the saturation in the chimney pix, but the sigma lens generally gives you pretty saturated RAWs anyway...

Thanks for all the nice comments ...
