    Anyone done it?

Hoping to head camping on Inis Oirr in June. I hear there's a campsite, anyone know if it's still open or even how much it is a night?

    Thanks!

Been down there a few times when younger and was going to go again last year but for the August bank holidays weekend but mates said it's closed. About 3 years ago a load of people ran amok on the site and burned the door off the jacks and smashed up a car belong to a local. So the guards moved in and closed it down. Not sure if it's open this year. You can always camp regardless but you probably won't get the same crowds as before

I went to Irish college in Inish Oirr eight years ago and i went back last summer. it was during the really bad weather in Ireland and it was like Spain over there, no joke. Its amazing!! The campsite has closed down but the b&bs are really cheap and obviously very close to everything. I reccommend hiring a bike its about 15 euro and just travel around the island. Im sooo jealosu wish i was going back :(
