    If i want to get a handicap of 18 what would the scores i would have to get for my 3 rounds?

    They would have to be an average of +18 ...eg= +21...+15...+18

    Not strictly true.
    You could have a worse score than +18, but for handicap purposes any scores more than 2 over par are counted as double bogeys. So 2 or 3 really messed up holes, sevens, eights, nines, and you could be +25, but still get a handicap of 18. Depends on how you achive the score.

    Why do you WANT a handicap of 18, why not play to the best of your ability and get your real handicap. You'll enjoy the game more.

    Why do you WANT a handicap of 18, why not play to the best of your ability and get your real handicap. You'll enjoy the game more.

    Just starting out and a handicap of plus 18 would be a good starting point

    To the OP,
    Just go out and play to the best of your ability and hand in 3 cards to your local club and you'll get a handicapp accordingly. It seems a little odd that you'd be so concerned about what handicapp you'll be given, unless of course your looking to manipulate the system, which btw is quiet easily done if your so inclined, but I wouldn't take this route if I was you, although if you enjoy "slow hand clapping" as you collect your prizes then by all means go for it. EndRant.
