    spec of Pc
    Processor Intel Core 2 duo E6750 2.66Ghz
    Ram 4 GB
Operating system Vista Ultimate 64 bit
    Motherboard - gigabyte EP35-DS3p
    Graphics card XFX GeForce 9600GT

I installed Vista Ultimate 64 bit on my new pc fresh 5 days ago, didn't encounter any major issues until this morning. My mouse freezes now sporadically, it can last anything from 1 second to 5 seconds, sometimes it happens every 20 seconds or so, other times I can go ages without it happening. It's doing my head in. I've tried various solutions. I restored my system to yesterday's settings as I thought an app I installed this morning might have been a cause. Anyway it didn't make a difference, then google turned up the following possibilities
Power settings might be an issue so I set to max performance.
Windows Aero Scheme can be an issue - so I turned it to No scheme.

Edit: I have installed updates, including Service Pack 1 today - no difference :(

alas no difference. Any ideas. Why is there always some problem with a pc :(

Look at your task manager and the performance, see if theres a app eating up allot of cpu time, even though your systems high spec one, a small badly written app could cause this kinda issiue!
