Has anyone here had a public exhibition of their work?

I really wanna do one based on my pictures of my trip in Australia, pick important pictures and exhibit them somewhere, I think it'd be cool

I have had a couple exhibitions and another one is coming up in June in La Catedral Studios.

As nilhg already said - you made me curious as well, give us a look! :)

I think Barry (thebaz) is the most recent one around here. There's one or two threads about it with some good commentary by Barry on the lead up - the venue being closed down just prior to opening by the fire department, etc.. I'm sure he may pick up on this thread in time. Anyhow he's the man for it.

    Good luck with it.

Have done quite a few, just took down my last one.

Lots of hard work involved to say the least.

Where do you fancy exhibiting? Libraries are usually handy numbers. Find out who you need to look for, write a letter explaining who you are, and why you want to exhibit, etc, etc.

yeah , i had 2 over winter , many things went wrong , and plan for the unexpected , in fact plan on doing most of the work yourself , unless you are very rich ;)

not sure if i enjoyed them , but i have another 2 in the pipleline, for later in the year , one which i will do little work on , as it is abroad --

one hint keep costs down by whatever means , be prepared to work hard , shop around for verues within your budget , my stuff was of Dublin people so had to be in city , but ouside dublin should be cheaper , look into coffee shops.

    Al -- you kept that very quiet , i wouldn't mind a look .

was a few years back - had an exhibition in a (now defunct) photo gallery in dublin, leading on from the people's photography exhibition. good fun, but not massively lucrative.
