Do you mean the ACM M500 gas shotgun?

I have one, the 8mm version. They're not bad, range is decent enough once you get the hopup tuned. You need to loosen two grub screws and slide the outer barrel forward to get at the screw for the hopup. I've only ever really used it once or twice. Playing with a shotgun as a primary is a completely different style of play.

If a cqb site ever opens up i'd definitely use it there.

Little Bro got one and it's brilliant,
got it in eirsoft, and it has a nice kick to it.
    think it's a springer though

We have 3 of the spring ones. For €40 they're ok. Its got a very good range and is quite accurate but has no sights. I'm ashamed to say that I, along with several ghosts and some others, were pinned down behind the tanker in the old hrta by Harlequin with one of these. We thought he was a sniper!

On the other hand, danny tried to use one in the new HRTA, he sat there and got nobody. The mags are just to small, or maybe he just sucks as at sneaking...

if your talking about the gas version that comes in 8mm or 6mm and fire 3 or 5 bbs at a time respectively then be aware that they do have there problems and are seem to have a high lemon count the 6mm is very bad for example but this may have more to its complicated loading mech that uses 3 tubes of bbs that you rotate, arnies has a good review and follow up of the acm 6mm m500

Charging handles are a real weak point on the Gas ones. In saying that they are the most fun guns around. As much as i love my one, i honostly think Tm springer shotguns are better for skirmishing in most cases. 8mm does fly through scrubbery though ;)

you can get steel ones that shouldn't break

the 8 mil is a good gun alright but just be prepared to change out all the o rings as the ones that are in it arent wort a tinkers curse, even the spares are shít, highly visible seam lines, once you have that done and are careful when cocking it then there is very little that can go wrong with them, the are so simply designed with very little moving parts they should go forever.
just make sure you get the 8 mil, you really can beat it at close to medium range, i shot my friend in the face with it from about 15 yards and he stopped the game cos he actually though it had broke his mask.

also the black one looks a bit more tidy and there is a nice rubberised feel to the stock, althought the black stock on the silver gun would indeed be the shít.

their expensive as hell and apparantly the Proud one's take a lot of work to make them fit. Im just going to buy one or 2 spare Marushin ones though their not exactly rock solid either. The m500 i have currently has been going fine with the stock charging handles for quite a while *touches wood*
Ive been meaning to switch out my O rings for quite a few months now :o anyone know a good place to get them?

yea, it's a bit of a pain to get to but it's there alright, just remove the two grub screws and slide the barrel forward, you'll see a small metal block screwed onto the barrel under there, with a grub screw and a normal phillips/crosshead screw on it, the phillips screw is the hopup.

what part of the country are you based?
i got them in Ferns engineering, they have a few places around the south east, but any simmilar place should have them, just go in with your spare set and get as many of the sizes as they have, they wont have all the ones there but should be able to get them in, they'll have the main ones you need

a handiest way to access this is to drill a small hole on the receiver, saves the take down proceedure if you adjust the hop a lot, i havnt really touched mine at all, does it make mush difference to each individual BBas they come out? how does it effect group size?

Cool ill keep an eye out for an engineering place.

No matter what ya do their always seems to be at least 1 bb that just takes off in a random direction, its very hard to adjust as the spread in so random anyway. I use 0.34's though so they do spread a little faster then the 0.48's.

they are worth it but you are goin to have to replace the seals on it, just tinker around with it and keep the exploded diagram in front of you, its not rocket surgery.
