hello, i made a 'best offer' on ebay and the item has now ended. when i click on the offers, my offer is there and it is marked "expired". there were 4 available and 3 offers. one was made a few weeks ago and marked 'accepted', the other two including mine were made tonight and marked 'expired'

this is probably a stupid question but does this mean

    a) the 'time' for offers has expired and the seller has 48 hours to accept or deline my offer

    b) my 'offer' has expired meaning it's already been declined and hence the offer is no longer valid (i can go and bid on another silmiliar item)

    c) something i'm too thick to see

    :pac:

Best offers expire within 48 hours if not responded to by the seller, OR (as in this case) upon an item's ending, so you're free to look elsewhere if the listing has definitely ended, and your offer hasn't been accepted.

(While the listing is live, offers which have not yet been decided upon by the seller remain displayed as "pending" on the listing page & in your 'My Ebay' until the seller decides - If he accepts your offer, the items moves from "Items with offers" in 'My Ebay'to "Items I've won" , & if the buyer turns down your offer in the 48 hr acceptance period while the item was still 'live', it would state "offer declined by seller" on the listing page when you looked at it after logging in.

Expired just means that the listing is over, or the 48 hours have passed without his accepting your offer. Either way, you're free to bid elsewhere without any obligation to the seller you made this offer to. )
