15 Female to 9 Male adapter needed

    Im llooking for a Male DB9 (9 pins) to female HD15 (15 holes) cable to connect my workstation up to a tv, is there such an adapter, ive been looking for a while and cannot find one.

    Its gonna be HD15 from the computer and db9 into the tv,

    I am 90% sure that hd15 and db9 are the correct terms, so done slate me if im wrong..


    Anyone know if there is anywhere i can get one, cannot seem to find one on and websites ive seen, Thanks in advance

    what's the make and model of this tv?

    afaik db9 connections are generally used for serial ports and not for sending video. I'm open to correction on this but i think that connection might not be for receiving video

    Wikipedia mentions DE-9 as one of the four connectors used for VGA, though I've never seen any hardware that uses one. DE-9 was used for the older CGA standard though.

    surely theres a better connection type you can think of. Your TV doesnt accept scart, A/V or RF connections? One of these would be much more available.
