I was there before years ago but can't really remember it. anyone going that direction around the same time?

if you are into quality campsites... then check out alanrogers.com (or .co.uk?)

you can search by map too.

pick a website and then search for it on the net and book directly with them.

We've visited there a few times but stayed a few kilometers south in St Hillaire de Riez in a site called http://www.camping-aux-ecureuils.com/gb/accueil.html Lovely site with quiet a few pools, restaurants etc. and a short walk to the beech.
Another excellent site is http://www.solagogo.com/eng/index.htm which has direct access to the beech and has excellent facilities.
Well worth a visit while there is the themepark http://www.puydufou.com/uk/
    Overnight parking available too.....

I also stayed Les Ecureils and it was fine with just a short walk through the Dunes to get to the beach.
