    Heres my situation:

Came home from Oz after a couple months holidays, (worked a horrible stressful job beforehand), came home started temping in this office I’m in now (dead handy, sound people, no stress) have been offered the job here permanent (as all temps will be let go soon due to cutbacks) but am actually planning my return to Oz (where I hope to work and get sponsored in my chosen field in which I have a degree) around September/October. This job here is way below my level – but as I said its handy for now. Should I take it on a permanent basis and then just go in September or is that taking the piss a little?

I’ve tried putting them off/delaying it but the recruitment agency and HR here are trying to sign me up. I cant get a temp role in my profession so its this or nothing and with students going to be on holidays soon other temp jobs may be hard to come by.

What do yis think I should do in this situation?

Unless you'd another job lined up I'd say take it myself the extra experience will be of benefit to you and its easier to save to go on a trip if youve money coming in! Just give your months notice or whatevers required (check out whats required in your contract first)

Take the job, save some money, and then head off to Oz.

Sometimes you have to look after number one.

Take the job as its as easy for them to look for a new employee in 3 months as it is to look for one now, as long as you give notice.

Take the job, if you're over qualified for the position, just tell them you've been offered position related to your degree field, shouldn't be a major shock to them, at the end of the day aswell, they're getting someone over qualified for the position for less money so i'd assume they've taken into account you may not be around long but useful while you are..

as previous poster said, you have to look after no. 1.
