Part of the reason is that the smaller races are double or triple the size of kenmare.

Another part is that its only one of two longer distance races in Ireland. Ireman being national champs will deflect alot of the demand from kenmare

Another part of the reason is that, unfortunately, the only races that sell out quickly in Ireland are the races with "a good piss up". Most of the triathlon community in ireland is a *little* too focused on the social aspect.
