Mystery Package

Sorry if the title misleads some of you (perv's) but I came to work today and was notified of a Package that had arrived for me in the post.

Now being in a financial hole a the moment I knew it wasn't something I ordered as it was registered post and rather heavy.
When I opened it up there was a Terabyte external hard drive with no invoice or details as to who sent it ?

Don't get me wrong i'm rather chuffed to get it free but the address they used looks like it's copied and pasted from my work email as it even has my job title in it (Which i'd never include in my address).
I've checked with my back and nothing in my account that suggests it was ordered by me. and checked with friends too and nothing....

Question is can I be charged for this if I didn't order it ?
Has anyone else got a pressie in the post they didn't order ?

Yep. You have the right to send it back without paying for it. If you knew where it came from.
Have you plugged it in? It could be full of kiddie porn  someone trying to set you up.

Free hard drives! Must check the post.

If you know what company it came from check their site for order details. Make a call and say you don't remember ordering it (claim large company or something) and check order date / billing address / billing details.

Check the box, the invoice is often in behind the address paper on the front.

    Mike.

Watch out for that anthrax gear, or hidden explosive of some sort. Pack it up and give it back to the post office if there´s no return address supplied. Sounds well dodge.

    # May, 1984

    * 01:52:00 A terminator, T-800 arrives from the future to kill Sarah Connor.[2]
    * 02:01:00 Kyle Reese arrives from the future, to protect Sarah.[2]
    * Kyle Reese succeeds destroying the T-800, but dies himself.[2]
    * Some parts from the terminator are left behind at the Cyberdyne facilities.[2]

And now exactly 24 years later, parts begin spreading.
    Anyone else worried

IT dept in work probably ordered it for you and forgot to tell you. Probably a business need for you to have one. I do it all the time.

BT recently sent me a wireless modem.

I don't have any accounts with BT.

    Fair play to them!

I like the Skynet idea though :D

Is it ticking? If so cut the yellow wire. Or the blue one for those color-blind among us.
