Freesat HD works in Dublin, Ireland
I purchased the Humax Fox Freesat HD receiver for £150 in John Lewis in the Trafford Centre in Manchester last Tuesday

It works in Dublin here in Ireland and is connected to an normal sky digital dish all I did was just disconnected the sky digital receiver and put in the freesat HD receiver with the enclosed HDMI cable and Scart lead

You have to put in a british postcode in the set up which I did, the postcode I put in was W12 7RJ

To my amazement I have all the SD and BBCHD neatly together the picture quality is very good and bbchd is amazing, I watched brief highlights of the 2007 fa cup final I could see drogba's sweat much better when he scored the winning goal

its much smaller than the sky digital receiver and the store had not many freesat HD Receivers left

I have now the freesat HD service and I have HD as part of the Digital Terrestrial TV pilot scheme which is also an Humax receiver through my outdoor tv aerial

http://www.freesat.co.uk/ has been completely updated have a look as it does apply to Ireland

Of course it does - there's no encryption involved.
