I might play if you give me a sirloin steak well done, side of mushrooms, sautee onions and garlic mash

There will be a proper Dinner served with a choice of Wine for Saturday's €500 Tournament. There will be Bangers, Mash and gravy with a few other options.

The dinner break will be after the first 2 levels ( 8pm ).

4 Tickets have been given out and another 5 tickets not used from last Month so hopefully around the 40 mark for this.

See some of you on Saturday,

    Alex.

21 runners, wow so poor, why not go back to the 200 game, it was a great game and usually had about 50 runners etc.

    19 Runners.

The Club kindly added €500 to the prize pool to make it up to €10,000.

    Top 3 paid.

The Final Table about to start with Roy Brindley, Vera Duffy and a few other celebrities present.

Discussions are under way to maybe make a few positive changes in the Poker room. The Monthly Tournaments are being reviewed so please be patient and as soon as I have any news I will post them up.

I think the real problem is there's to much on and not enough money around, this time 18 months ago most events were selling well, but we currently have 3 casino's in Dublin offering very good structure events each month and thats not including the other poker festivals held by other operators. Unless you have online qualifiers and weekly live sats to these events, your just not going to get the numbers.

4 things that can be done:

    1. more sats, live and online.
    2. a guarantee prize pool, its very rare when you guarantee it that you don't make it.
    3. Scrap the tournament league
    4. break the internet connections into Ireland.

    Who won this,
I went out in 5th (3 prizes) after constantly building my stack up and then donating to Chinese Jimmy

One of the many hands went something like this
Raised on Button with K J
flop comes down K 10 10 board, check I bet pot, he insta-calls
Jack on the Turn..he checks, I bet out, he calls,
Then he bets 10K on River, I call (a bit worried he has a 10) but nope he shows me A Q for the straight, sigh sigh

I then slow played a set only for him to get runner runner flush (double sigh)

When I left there was Vera, Chinese Jimmy, Francis (Celtic Poker Tour Winner) and Gary Clarke (rag2gar),

As far as I know Chinese Jimmy won and gary was second, not sure who was third.
