Dual LNB setup question

I have an 80cm dish with dual LNB bracket. I want to pick up 13e and 19.2e with it - would it be better to align the dish to 19.2e first, then adjust the bracket to pick up 13e, or the other way round?

As 13e is a bit weaker, I'd go with aligning it first, and then working on 19e.

Unless it's a Traix dish, where neither LNB's get the prime focal point.

It's a Channel Master dish that I bought from satellite.ie about five years ago. I don't think they make them any more. I bought the dual LNB bracket shortly afterwards.

I've used the dish before for 28e, but not with the bracket.

OK. Channel Master make good dishes. Well if the bracket is the type which allows a secondary LNB to be attached to one side of primary, then make 13e the primary LNB.

    OK, thanks for the info.

    yeah 13E is weaker,

the only reason you'd align to 19E is if you also want to get 28E later on

    Yeah, good point regarding 28E.

Okay, now I'm lost. I thought you just face the bracket as far south as you could and then rotated the dish 28.2E so as to get the Astra28....... I did it today and it worked but the quality is poor but I think it might be the LNB. Yesterday a tonne of water fell out of my LNB.:eek:

LNB needs to be skewed (rotated) to maximise signal. This could be the problem, though water + electronics could be a problem also.

Yeah....Skewed...I noticed that when I was up there today on the ladder....If I kind of put a "twist" into the dish the little signal finder would scream a bit more. Any hoo, its only stop gap while the folks get their own SKY in.

    Cheers.

    HoC.
