G sharp sound

I keep getting a weird buzz on my electro-acoustic, and it comes across as a G sharp on tuners. Now, it doesn't always happen and I've tried messing around with a variety of differant leads, batteries, pedals, electricy stuff, but it still just occasionally happens. I'd thought it had disappeared, infact I think I asked here about it before but I can't find my thread.

Does anyone know what this is? I'm kinda hoping that the specific Gsharp sound might be a tell tale sign, I know just a buzz could be anything.

Play each string between the nut and the machine head, see if you hear it. Does it happen only when you're playing or do you hear it if the strings aren't vibrating? Low pitched or high pitched?
