Where can I get a set of EL34s in Galway?

    My Marshall died on me last night and I have a gig on Saturday. One of the EL34s was glowing all over (plates as well as the filament) and then no sound. Typical, I haven't played a gig in over 5 years and this has to happen...

    Bummer dude. Modern Music down by the Cornstore & Back 2 Music down by Sally Longs are the only two music shops in town that might have them, worth a shot anyway!!

    Cheers, I might give them a ring in a bit. No point going into the city centre if I can't get them.

    Do you run 2 or 4 EL34's. If 4 you're in luck as you can run it with 2 (of the good tubes) in the the centre or two outside positions. You'll need to change the impedance to 8 if you're on 16 and get the tubes back in as soon as possible as your bias will be off. It'll do for your gig though.
    If it's a 50Watter (2 EL34) I'm afraid you might be f**ked unless you know someone locally.
