    Hi All,

I' looking for a reasonably priced for Capri. All options considered, but looking for a 2.0 and above...

Preference would be for the 280 AKA "Brooklands" Capri.

    Regards,

    Seoirse

    hi Seoirse,

unfortunately the numbers 280 and the word capri, normally equals unreasonable money. in fact, capris are now going for crazy money.

You dont say what condition you require but most reasonably priced capris that ive seen tend to need quite a bit of work.

pop over to everyfordireland.com and take a look at the classifieds, you might see something you like....................best of luck :D

yes,i agree with bo-bo, the 280s are very expensive because of their rarity, and the fact that they are the best finished capri of all, with leather etc...you should try to pick up a good 2.8injection or 2.0litre, they will be relativly cheap, but look out for rotters....

This one's for sale near me for 10k euros if your interested, it's mint in every respect, it was a 2 litre converted to 3 litre and it's automatic, I think it's 1974 so vintage tax and insurance apply.

Strange, it seems anything pre 1982 with a ford badge in ireland is expensive...everyone here goes to england to buy a good car,and they come over here for shells to restore, its like a recycling centre...!!
    Funny notion...!!
There isnt that many capris about anymore anyway to be selling!!

I can't see the craftiness. In both cases that's all the cars are worth?

Any chance of a few pics?Whatever about the fiesta, the hunter would have to be pretty good for that money...

The money seems fairly ok for that, providing that its not knackered?
Theres an old guy with an 87 280 brooklands out somewhere near ballyheigue in kerry, seems to be a regular driver too.
