New Zealand (from): Aaron Redmond, Jamie How, James Marshall, Ross Taylor, Brendon McCullum (wkt), Daniel Flynn, Jacob Oram, Daniel Vettori (capt), Kyle Mills, Tim Southee, Iain O'Brien, Chris Martin.

Umpires: Simon Taufel (Aus) and Steve Bucknor (WI)

Just thought id put a thread up for this, considering this starts tomorrow. Looking forward to this, overall a england win in the test series but I think the first test will be a draw.

P.S Looking forward to see Tim southee. Was really impressed with his bowling in the last test in the winter.

Anyone know what the boys in the commentary box were laughing at yesterday? I turned on to see Lloyd jokingly walk out, and Atherton and Hussain could hardly control themselves laughing. Hussain in particular, he had tears in his eyes and had to take a few moments to compose himself

    that was about 4pm yesterday

    any ideas?

Oh I remember watching that but wasn't paying full attention. Lloyd was talking about Vettori's variation in pace after he picked up 2 wickets in 2 balls. I think his point was that Vettori's delivery that dismissed Collingwood caught at slip was slightly quicker than the one that had Ambrose lbw even though it seemed the opposite would be true. But then it came up on screen that indeed Ambrose's dismissal was the quicker delivery, disproving Lloyd's point. So the others burst out laughing after he made a fool of himself. Think that was basically it although I wasn't exactly sure what Lloyd was on about.

    ha ha cheers for that

the lads in the commentary box always seem to look like they're having a laugh and that they wouldnt be anywhere else if you paid them (well, more than sky do)

sky's coverage is top notch in fairness

    Match Drawn.

Vettori was offered the light, shook hands with the umpires, common sense prevailed. Not much point fidgeting for another 2 hours when its a foregone conclusion.
