prob uploading photos to bebo / facebook

Hi all,

weird one here, wondering if anyone has any ideas...

As per the title I have a prob uploading photos to bebo / facebook.

This only happens on my laptop (vista , sp1 not installed)
Have a desktop with vista but have not been able to test on that yet.

In both sites:

Have tried IE7, firefox, opera & safari on the lappy with no results.
The java applet appears to start uploading pics but just hangs with the progress bar at about 50%

same with firewalls & antivirus disabled

thought the MTU size on the router might be causing problems - was on 1500 so changed to 1492 / 1450 / 1400 but same on all settings

Strange thing is I tried in Safari on my mac & they uploaded fine via wifi on the same router so mtu is not the problem

Anyone got any ideas??

Is it the same file size on the mac? Just wondering if it's a file size issue. Do bebo/facebook have size limits?

meant to mention that

ftp'd into the mac from the laptop & transferred the pics to a folder there first

pics are exactly the same ones I tried to load on the laptop

all are between 200 - 300KB in size, JPG format

afaik facebook limit is 4 meg
