ok, so let's say that for some bizarre, and only ever hypothetical reason, you can only wear one outfit for the next year. doesnt matter how practical it is regarding the weather, this is all about style... and it has to be one of vince's.

    which outfit?

One of Vince's or one of Noel's?

Vinces would be the Tundra outfit from the stage show.
Otherwise, The Spirit Of Jazz. Dreads and a white pinstripe suit. Oh yeah.

nope, specifically vince, noel tends to wear costumes, whereas vince tends to wear outfits.

any pics? i havent seen teh stage show since i was in ireland, and i only saw it (soberly) once.

i knew someone would go for the human coke can (stlil not sure what fey's choice is)...

personally, my favourite (i think), is on milky joe, leaf shirt, and bamboo drainpipes, for the new wave castaway.

although his outfit fo the yeti mating ritual is rather awesome, white just isnt really my colour..

ah, just saw your post fey... that's just the mirrorball suit with a fluffy coat.

It's the fluffy coat that does it though. The mirror ball suit isn't really me... Mega coat though? Now we're talking!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,196 ✭✭✭Crumble Froo

I'm going to cheat and say the Hitcher's outfit from the Pie & Mash-up episode. Failing that, just for the hell of it, the pink gooey outfit Vince wore as Charlie's minion in the Charlie episode.

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 23,363 Mod ✭✭✭✭feylya

    But Vince isn't the Hitcher

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,196 ✭✭✭Crumble Froo

gah! they're costuems, not outfits, and noel, not vince!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,820 ✭✭✭grames_bond

in that case i will defo have to +1 to the newage castaway from the milky joe episode, stylish!!

I think it has to be the white suit from The Fountain of Youth episode - such style - I love the hat!! This is the best pic I could get at short notice!

red jumpsuit from the tale of the crack fox... im tempted by the human coke can and the mirror ball suit though, they are classics.

Barnabus Joneborough. Got to go with the obscure, plus you only have the description from the radio show to go by. Create something yourself.

    Panda Costume for me so!!!
I love everything about it, the little ears and his face paint!!!

It just wouldn't have been funny if he'd worn like a big panda costume like this or something

but do you have the confidence to wear it?

was at a boosh event a couple of months ago, and there was a girl there wearing a mirrorball suit, but twas sort of ruined by her being just oh so very *aware* of the fact she was wearing it.

In fairness, that could be said of pretty much every costume associated with Vince Noir (and yes, it's still a costume, it's still Noel Fielding underneath it :P). There were a bunch of people at the show in Wembley on Friday dressed in costumes, and almost everyone I saw who was in a full costume looked a bit self-conscious. (There was at least one girl there wearing a mirrorball dress-thing, and she looked like it had been a better idea in theory than in practice...)

Where you at the stage show itself or one of the after-parties, incidentally? (Hopefully it wasn't at The Gig That Cannot Be Named, otherwise I'll get spanked for asking the question :()

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,196 ✭✭✭Crumble Froo

    *spank*

    *spank*

Was that just gratuitous spanking, or purposeful spanking? (Yet again, boards offers me a chance to ask a question I never would have otherwise expected to ask...)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 516 ✭✭✭Gloom

Being realistic, probably his Zoo uniform from season 1. I liked all the cool t-shirts underneath and I could see myself wearing it.

For me it has to be the funky inuit. Its vince and its day to day wear.
I think i could pull it off.

Oh and you know the way vince mentions the jacobian ruff coming back in...... well guess what....
