Best and cheapest option really is to get one of those round body brushes and scrub the skin in circularling motion, gets the circulation going and all that jazz! Also massaging body lotion in well again in circular motion would also help.

I also (when I bothered i'm pretty lazy) used the body shop cellulite serum with a body massager thingy, it actually worked pretty well, toning up the skin aswell. The only problems is that you have to use it religiously, at least once a day, recommended twice daily.

I'll give those a try. Has anyone tried the weleda one? Also, if you ever stop using a cellulite cream, does the cellulite come back as bad as before?

the medical opinion seems to be that cellulite is not something for which there is a 'cure', it is simply the way that females lay down fat.

This re-naming of female fat as a disease/something to be fought off has been jumed on by cosmetics companies who tell us its about 'shifting toxins' and such, of course with the aid of expensive creams.

the truth is that as with any other fat or weight gain, a healthy diet and exercise is probably the only thing that will help

Anti-Cellulite GUA-SHA massage with a Chinese cupping glass cup is a variety of vacuum therapy and the reverse of pressure therapy. Generating underpressure in the inside of the cup and sucking in the skin and the subcutaneous layer into its interior is how it works. Massage additionally is supporting slimming, firming the body, moreover it is altering positively the circulation of blood and lymphs. It helps to clean the organism of toxins and liquids as well as is eliminating swellings. It provides strong draining effect what causes that it combats the cellulite sensationally.

    Hi StormWarrior,

I have to agree that Nivea's Good-buy-cellulite works best. It has a lotus extract and carnitine in the formulation that prevent the formation of fat into the fatty cells. I am using it now exactly for this purpose. However, to get rid of my cellulite ( I had type 1) I used the Garnier Body-tonic (yellow tube, 200 mL, with a green cap). It works wonders combined with three to four times per week aerobic exercise. Apply it just before you start exercising. I saw a difference in 3 weeks.
If you are not a big fan of sweating and exercise try massage and scrubbing. The idea is to beat down the fat into fatty acids that are easy to transport through the cell membranes. Once the fat is decomposed (so to say) you need to wash it away with plenty of water. If you like tea - go for it, but (science says) as many as 5 mugs green tea per day are needed. Brrrrrr...
    Hope it helps

    Hi Conor D,
Thanks for offering the info about the gym. A small problem - I haven't set foot in a gym for 3 years now. I have been doing swimming and horse riding and yoga and kick boxing (the last one at home) Horse riding is great for cellulite, especially the trotting, swimming makes the blood flow through the right spots, yoga takes the stress out and helps concentrate on the problem areas and kick boxing massages the clinging fat (as you say, but you are right - it is obstinate).
The cellulite disappeared with the help of cosmetic products that I applied before exercise. You see, my MSc is in chemistry and I head the R&D Dept in a Cosmetic Manufacturer Company. The formulations and actives are my field of expertise, as they should be since this is my job that I am doing. You just have to know how to choose and use. I also have a web page that talks a bit about cellulite from point of view chemistry but I am not going to mention it here because it may look like that I am trying to promote it. If you (or your wife) are still interested in the web address, just let me know.
If your wife has tried every anti-cellulite bit out there that exists and no results so far - try doing mesotherapy. Mesotherapy is dear to the pocket but it has many advantages. It is non-surgical to start with and can be tailored to each particular customer.
