I know there are a lot of threads in here on students going on the dole but I've heard once you finish, you can go on the dole for the Summer, even if you have a job lined up for after?
If this is possible. Also, I amm living at home and have some savings.
    Thanks for any help

If you're not working and not in education, you can go on the dole. You just have to be actively seeking work.

    Thanks Phi,
Is it just a case of going to a Social Welfare office and telling them I want to go on the dole? Do i need some kind of proff that I'm searching for work etc?

You might need a letter from the college to show you are finished.

This is one of the advantages of doing a cert, diploma and degree over a 4 year degree. ;)
I know the names have changed but I don't know them

Ya, just go in to them, i think they generally look for your birth cert , p45 and p60. So if u have any of them bring them along. And have your pps number handy. If you need anything else they'll let you know.
You'll have to fill out some forms while ur there. I think you may need a letter from the college saying you're finished. You get that from the college admen office
