    I know it's a bit early but you know what they say about the early bird.....

    Anyway, below is a piece copied from the ICPSA website which may be of interest to some of our readers;

    "And finally, the ICPSA in conjunction with the Coaching Task Group is planning introductory "Open Days" on Saturday and Sunday 27th/28th September next at the National Shooting Grounds, Ashbourne and Ballinasloe Shooting Grounds respectively. It is hoped that these days will primarily be geared towards the general public who would wish to experience the sport for the first time as well as less experienced participants or those who might like to improve their skills and who would like to have a coaching assessment of their current ability."

    The full article can be read here - http://www.icpsa.ie/coaching/coaching_news/690.html

    Keep an eye on this for updates and hopefully we'll see a few of the faces behind the names:)

    Excellent, show the public the public that shooting and guns are not something that belongs in the crime pages of the tabloids alone... .

    I'm sure this will be an eye opener for a fair few punters who might stroll in for a look around and see a bunch of disciplined skilled sports people instead of the halfcrazed wannabe Rambo's some media want to portray sports shooters like.

    Some of the public just have a crazy fear of guns.

    Hopefully people will go and have a look and see what a fun sport shooting can be, and that guns in the right hands are safe to the user and public.
