Saturday May 24th, Liffey Arms, Newbridge (The Card Room Above the Bar!)

We have a huge charity event going down. It is €25 entry (inc reg) with €25 rebuys and top-ups. The majority of the prize-pool will be paid out in prize-money plus Ladbrokespoker have added two free tickets to the Killarney Festival in October (worth €1,100) and local businesses will also be adding prizes.

We have an auction - signed club from Padraig Harrington and signed cue from Steve Davis are amonst the lots - likewise there is a raffle with more merchandise signed by celbs. Ken Doherty is going to make his way out to us (pending his flight ariving back in Dublin on time from a commitment overseas).

There are beginers classes at 7pm and the tournament starts at 8pm (late entries taken). Cash games (becoming notorious) should get underway by 10pm.

This is a fully licensed venue with a late drinks licence, so a good night should be had by all. Saplings (a school of autistic children in Kildare) is the charity that will benefit.

Sorry my pragmatic exlination did not suffice. Guess we will not be seeing you then moreplank - oh well. The show will go on without you and even Ken if he cannot get out in time.

Deffo playing Animal and will be donating plenty in re-buys considering recent form.

If any top site, like Boyes say, would like to add a prize that would be appreciated. Ladbrokes are putting two tickets to their Killarney Festival into the pot. Cheers

Betdaqpoker.com have generously donated two tickets to their €100,000 Betdaq Bonanza Poker Tournament.

We will probably auction one and put the other into the tournament prize-pool for this charity event for Saplings School.

The Betdaq Bonanza starts September 7th at Betdaqpoker.com and the tournament prizepool is a guaranteed €100,000

Normal Entry cost is valued at 2,500 VIP points or €1000 in rake per ticket.

Once the tournament is down to the final table of nine the game will be frozen.

The final tablists will keep the their remaining chip stacks and play out the final in a live setting, The Sporting Emporium Casino, Dublin on September 20th .

€75,000 will be to play for on the final table and €25,000 will be shared by the rest of the field.

Every player who enters wins a cash prize!

Padraig Harrington has now kindly donated a signed golf-club which will also be up for grabs on the night.

Did I also mention before the winner of this event will receive a stunning trophy?

Please do come along and support this cause if you can

Planning to go to this. Just one silly question. Is the Liffey Arms easy enough to find? If its not on main street can someone tell me. Thanks in advance.

Yeah it's a well known pub in Newbridge...and on the main street at very end/beginning.....Beside Liffey Bridge/Ulster bank....Anyone in Newbridge will point you in the right direction...better known as Johnsons...When you get there tell them your a Moorefield supporter...You'll be safe as a house then...:o
