    Hey,

Not used to using ryanair with no backage. Am flying to aberdeen on friday, with only hand luggage and online check-in. never done it before, do i just log in the night before and check in. also people are saying something else that has to be done online beforehand to stop getting an extra charge at the airport.

    cheers

As far as I can remember there was the option for online check-in when you booked the tickets... but I believe there was an extra charge for it. I managed to get away without any extra charges before xmas and I queued up with my mates to check in as you'd usually do. Didnt have to do anything online beforehand. By the way I didnt have any baggage either.

If you fly with Ryanair and have no bags to check in then you can opt for the online-checkin which saves you money because you have (a) no bags to check in and (b) can print your boarding pass online.

Everything is available on their site. Just click on 'online check-in' on the menu on the left of the main screen.
You can save time at the airport, by using our Online Check-In Service - Check’N Go to print your own boarding card.
Online Check-In is available from 5 days up to 4 hours before the scheduled flight departure time.

Errr, that's what online check-in is. You do it online, for free. If you opt for online check-in but go for a 'normal' check-in they you'll have to pay extra yes, but you'd only have to do this if you (a) for get to do it online or (b) end up having to check bags due to weight or liquid restrictions.
