Did any of you lads have big wins over there?
    Huge pots?
Any problems getting the money out of the US?

I left Vegas with 2c (I kid you not) and a maxed out credit card. Ah, the memories.

Always wondered why people referred to you as dead money.

Some people tried to smuggle 200 dollars out in 10 dirty filthy rubbish bins full of used condoms etc but unfortunately some ginger haired irishman went through all 20 bins and took the 20 dollars out of each one, he now resides with the fishes

Actually it was good crack. I had 50 dollars left the night before we left and I thought that will do for some food and a beer at the airport. Course my mate says "stick it on black and you can have a few beers".

So next day at airport, I am sitting there with 2c in my pocket reading the paper and my mate (who is a wheelchair user) says "push me over to the slots and stick twenty in for me" (his money obv). I do and go back to my seat and all of a sudden I hear the machine coughing out the coins. F*&ker won a grand. He says "can you come over here and collect this up for me?".

I'm still a bit ashamed at my reply (only a bit though :))

i took about 45k home after the trip in 2006.
lots of signs at the airport that u can only take 10k, and any excess will be confiscated if not declared.
went to see the customs, had to fill out a form, say where i got it etc, then it was fine, no worries, carried it in my laptop bag which i held tight pretty much all the way home.
