    http://maps.live.com/

    Limerick
    Dublin
    Cork
    Galway
and some other provincial towns have ariel and birds eyes view. Pretty cool. Its even more uptodate than some google earth images of these towns.

Limerick Has the Riverpoint Phase 2 finished, Southern ring road Phase 2 also more in the advanced stage and the digging at the Parkway valley earth works. So it less than a years old, which is still very up to date compared to other ariel views on the net :)

    so enjoy :)

Not so good in the Midlans, Athlone - Kinnegad, no sign at all of the new N/M6.

Strange chunks of Dublin are missing. Anywhere around the airport is missing as you'd expect but what have they got against Phibsboro?

Anywhere north east of the city centre seems to be missing

Looks to be a lot of new train sets at Limerick Station, were they stored there?

i "drove" out the N11 as far as Bray. I thought it looked different, then I realised why - there was hardly any traffic on the road :-)

Yes, the roads are deserted, Liffey Valley shopping centre car parks are almost completely empty, Phibsborough bus garage is FULL of buses, yet it's broad daylight! What did they do, take the photos on Christmas Day??? :)

I would imagine they were taken early morning near midsummer's day

judging by the pictures from around my area and the current housing developments it looks like the pics were taken mid-autumn sometime, and as pointed out above they must have been early in the morning as there's not a sinner on the roads in the pics of my area yet on a normal day you wouldn't even see the tarmac.

North Dublin were taken last summer based on construction work in DCU. I'm guessing at least some of them were taken on Sunday, it's errily quiet looking at the empty roads and footpaths.

And yet the map doesnt show the Ennis bypass, despite the fact that its been open for over a year.

Pictures for Cork suggest a mix of early morning Weekday(after 8am, but before 9am for the pictures of where I work, and Sunday morning, early, for where I live!

The Limerick ones were taken between 10:20-10-30 or 12:30-1:00 Monday to Friday around October.

I can see myself in my school yard and they are my lunchtimes. :p

the west dublin stuff was taken on a sunday anyway.

Trying to figure out when they were taken in west Dublin myself. My car is gone from the driveway and only one of the neighbours cars is there. They're usually always around on a Sunday morning but it could be the one time they were away. It could also have been a time when we were away for a weekend, very cool pics though.

I've noticed that the photos of my house (Bray, Co. Wicklow) taken from different directions (click on the rotate arrow on the left to see the same area from four different directions) were taken on different days. On two out of the four directions my wife's car is the only one on the driveway, on the other two it's only mine. If it was only my car on the diveway it's almost certainly a weekday, if it's only hers then almost certainly a weekend.

Good spot Alun, in one of the other photos where you can see my parking spots my car is there parked up, 3 of the others it's not.
