I was just quoted €500 from foster motors in sandyford to service a 02 audi a4, and a grand to change a friggin' belt! it's a V engine but come on!

Just wondering if anyone knows someone they would recommend rather than a dealership? It'd be nice if they could reset the computer service history while they are at it. It's probably possible with a universal electronic tool these days, it's a 02 so should be well supported.

Some shagger destroyed a door on it the other night and drove off, so it's going to be a bloody expensive month!! Damn!

Try Jetstar in Dun Laoghaire, independent VW/Audi servcing and heard nothing but good reports from them.

I have an audi a4 1.6 se 2001 old shape that needs a full service without costing a lot. I am told that the ecu needs to be replaced? The car has 150k miles from new. Where do you recommend I get it serviced I am based on the southside.? I see lots of ads for 189 full service with the main dealers but it is hard to tell what this covers other than an oil and air filter change?

Well stay away from Jetstar (or Gerard Lee Motors, as they're now called) anyway, their standards have gone right down the toilet since 2008. I'd bring it to Niall in ISA in Blackrock - he's reasonable, and good.
