I have an OEM version of XP on my PC. Is there anyway I can back it up to DVD and install it on another machine?

I don't want to have to buy another copy of Windows.

OEM is bound to the machine it was installed on, your license doesn't cover another machine.

Bloody DRM. No wonder people hate Microsoft.

It's nothing to do with DRM, it's to do with licensing.

DRM is for music and such files.

Even if you could copy it over then it would be considered piracy and I don't want to see such discussions here

Thread closed - read the charter silvine

OEM windows is bound to your motherboard and lives and dies with it.

If you want a free OS try Ubuntu or PCLinux or SuSE
If you don't want linux try BSD or Belenix or ReactOS or OpenVMS.

If you choose to use window then you to obey the license.
