How far is too far? Do you send numerous texts then get left waiting for a response that never comes? Why can't people just text "see you later" or "good bye" why do they leave you hanging? Have you ever gone to far with a text?

How far is too far? What is the worst thing you have done or said by text or the best thing?

Would love to hear what you men out there think!

The worst texts i've ever sent are those that you send on a night out and are clearly pissed. you get that dreaded feeling the next morning that you've said something you shouldn't have. you look at the phone (usually chucked on the floor) hoping that you didn't send any texts (which of course you have)

It don't bug me that people don't sign off - i just hate when people don't text you back at all - like even if they had no credit - why don't they text you when they get credit and tell you that's why they didn't text earlier!!!

Yup. I've had a few nights like that myself. Then I wake up and spend hours thinking about whether I should look at my outbox to see what I had sent.

If I smiled it would have been due to horror.

all of my drunken texts have been horrible. every time i met a certain guy, we flirted like mad - i got pissed one night and was telling my mates how frustrated i was coz nothing seemed to be happening between us except flirting. few drinks later - i text him and asked him "do you just want a shag or what"!! he replied (a text that i didn't see til the next day and was dumbfounded when i did) "i thought we were only having the craic"

i still blush at the embarrassment of it!!!

Well at least you didn't shag him, imagine the embarrressment if you had and then he texted that!! I don't keep my phone on when I am pissed so I don't text old boyfriends anymore. I also try and avoid meeting men at bars I am a dreadful one for wine goggle eyes lol

Im afraid i dont have any stories about texting..... i havent ( touch wood )
sent any drunk txts to ex girlfriends although i have wanted to so i just turn the phone off and have another beer :D
Although a mate of mine did send a drunk horny text to his girlfriend .. all sounds pretty ok but his girlfriend and mother had very similar names.... both are beside eachother on his phonelist.. you know where the rest is going:D:D

Ahh go on jen you must have some stories...

yeah jen you must have sent some texts even by mistake if not under the influence!!! have you ever been giving out about someone to a friend and accidentaly sent that text to the person you've given out about??? that's happened to me!!

god maybe someone should take the phone from me!!!

Ahh corrado would have loved to have seen their faces lol. Now stop ganging up on me you two :)

No i have been very careful, although i do get nervous after drinking as I tend to delete texts before bed so goodness knows what I have sent under the influence of a drink or two hahahahah.

Years ago I confused ex boyfriend with current boyfriend which didn't go down too well a lot of confusion.

oh yeah i've confused men alright - said the wrong name at the most inappropriate times - but in my case, i didn't call my current guy by my exes name - the alcohol just lead to memory loss and all i could think of was last guys name --- and then i used the name!!!hhhhhaaaaaa

Tell me about it, was having an agument (with at the time) bf x when called him ex bf y didn't make for a good argument, infact in turned in to a totally different row lol. Mind you haven't had bf for a good while so shouldn't have that problem again for a while hhehhheh Had a guy call me by his exes name in bed was not amused either lol.

Note to self only date men with the same name lol lol :)

it's easy done though to confuse names - they call it Freidian's slip or something - don't think you can read too much into it when it happens - i could be wrong though - by calling someone by the wrong name could mean alot more!!!

any physchologists out there that can tell us what it means when you confuse names???

hey red - bet something about it was in that book of yours???

Freudian slip I think you mean? saying something which may or may not seem perfectly harmless, but is actually like stemming from your unconscious mind (having two psychologist parents has it's advantages :p)

to get back on topic, I'm pure lethal for texting faux pas, mainly due to the recently used numbers list in my phone, I type a text, hit send, the first option that comes up is recently used, and nine times out of ten I just sent the text to the first person on the list by accident. Hence my mother getting texts going "no I've never tried it, sounds interesting though, can I buy some off you", my flatmate getting rique texts intended for my boyfriend, or in one memorable night, my boyfriend's flatmate getting a text enquiring whether or not he wanted a booty call. Introduce drink into the mix and it gets ridiculous. There's one number I have written down on a sheet of paper in my room, before I go out I delete the number, so if I get the drunken urge to text this certain someone, I have to wait til I get home and find the number, giving me a bit of time to think about whether or not it's a good idea. texting causes so much hassle
