    Hi all,

I've been asked if I would like to take photos of a local event.

What's the going rate for this? I consider my images to be of a high quality, I've done event photography before, but as a hobby, not as a job.

I was thinking 25 EUR per hour with a minimum of 4 hours... would this be considered high? low?

Are you supplying prints or digital images?

Do you have to send them to the papers?

Have you allowed travel time and expense?

€25 an hour is cheap - too cheap I'd say.

Yeah I'm Canadian so I don't know what the rate is around here :P

I live pretty much right next door, I'd be cycling over. Or walking, as I might be bringing a 6ft ladder for some shots.

Supplying digital images - will be doing some post processing as they'd like to use the images for brochures, etc.

I assume they'd put them in the papers if they wanted to, but it wouldn't be up to me to get them in.
