Quick query here, is the hurlers on the Castletroy bus route, and if not what is the nearest stop and how does one get to the hurlers from that stop.

There is a bus stop right beside the lodge or else you can go round the roundabout and get off by the AIB

Yes it is....There's a stop just across from it, or you can get off at Kilmurry Lodge just down the road.

Most buses stop at the Kilmurray Lodge. Its a 2 minute walk from there (cross the road and start walking towards the city - to your right you'll pass Rios (chipper), Dominos Pizza, a dry cleaners, a pharmacy, super dine, and an abandoned petrol station).

The Hurlers is just past the petrol station.

Isn't there is a bus stop just before the Hurlers next where they are doing road works to the pedestrian crossing on the way out from town?

To the best of my knowledge (and I could be wrong) that's a bus stop for Expressway buses on the way to Dublin.
