    Sorry about the stupid question, but If I have VHI (Plan B) does this cover trips to the A & E? (x rays etc) or is this just for overnight stays/operations etc. I have never spent a day in A & E but I think I may need to go now as my rib is giving me severe pain. Whats the best A & E in Dublin to go to? Any help would be great...

    No, VHI doesn't cover your A+E charge unless you're subsequently admitted.
    I think there's a website which shows the current waiting times in A+E departments around Dublin - if my memory serves me correctly it was listed on AH a few weeks ago.
    Anyway, you sent this post hours ago, did you attend A+E in the end?
