Anyone familiar with keyboards on old latitudes ie CPX series? The keyboard has small blue numbers on some of the letter keys. What are these for and how do I get out of this mode if I am stuck in it.

Would it be the same as the CPi's of that time?? If so I will take a pic of it tomorrow to see.

On my inspiron you have to have num lock on and the fn key held down. This will then type the number instead of the letter. Is numlock turned on on your laptop? Is the fn key stuck down?

Yeah thats the numerical keypad, laptop keyboards are small so they have to integrate the numerical keypad into the keyboard using other keys...

Try pressing Shift and Num Lock to turn on and off the Numerical Keypad..

On my laptop a number of the keys have blue icons on them and they are all accessed using the Fn button (it includes the numbers and also stuff like increase/decrease screen brightness and so on)
