This place looks very interesting for a bit of exploration in Waterford, appears to have been empty a long time..

I've been wanting to get in there for a long long time!

On of the chaps here Dazftw got in... but his 'method of entry' was a bit out of my league!!!

Like Fajitas, the place always interested me but I think it's way too dodgy to get in and around the place.

Did you not mention there's guard dogs in there now Fajitas!

And yes Silverstealth, it's a huge place and has had me curious for a long time, it's only across the river from where I drink :)

Would be curious to hear from Dazftw! Any means of entry are good for me.

    There's guard dogs now?

    :(

Are ye sure about the dags?

I pass there all the time and never seen any. Plus isn't the land in ownership limbo? Meaning people probably wouldn't bother spending the money on 24h security...?

Ah, I dunno. Would suck if they did put dogs in there though.

And yeah, dazftw seems to always be getting in there.. and various other places of questionable legality. :D

The place with the dogs is the Foundry, that where you're on about Al? The two German Shepards with the mange only drippin' off 'em? WOuld be a good place alright, what with all the broken boats and cranes and such.

    That's the spot, Trigger!

Thats the old Flour Mills and I got into it about 2 years ago. Pretty dangerous place as most of the floors are gone in the main building.(think they were pine or teak for cleanliness) so someone uprooted them and left. Lots of old machines with pulley systems and good view of the river. I put a slide show together aome time ago but its too big to upload here. The guy that left us in was a worker there in the 70's and 80's and he also gave me some old photos of the place in that time, tried to do a compare shots of same photos.

would be great to get in their and have a look alright, but looks mighty dodgy (unsafe etc)
Foundery also looks very interesting...especially all those old ships

I might be up for this later in the year. From the photos access to the complex seems grand,it's hard to know about the buildings though.Dan,would you have any shots you could upload, that sounds very interesting

Sorry to bump old thread but I didnt think it was worth creating a new one for. Has anybody gained access to here recently? Was thinking of trying it on a quiet sunday morning, 7am, to avoid any sightings from people etc.
