Landscape Competition open to public voting

Our Landscape Competition is now closed for entries. As with our last competition, Spectra and Digital Beginners have decided to open the judging to the wider public. If your chosen photo is one of the winners then you'll automatically be placed into a draw for a Nikon Compact Digital Camera.

All voters will also be put onto a list from which we will invite 50 voters at random to a special Awards Ceremony to be held in Spectra Photo's Flagship store on Grafton St in Dublin. Those who attended the last one (and there were a few from this parish!) will testify to the craic and the free wine :D that was had by all.

Just click on this link: http://www.digitalbeginners.ie/spectra and follow through to the special voting gallery.

Only one vote per person is allowed and multiple votes will disqualify that person.

    Dave

That is the most liberal interpetation of landscape I can imagine, a bowl of fruit salad FFS.

Hmm. It definitely might be worthwhile in future doing a bit of shortlisting of the competition entries. Removing shots that don't fit the theme of the competition for a start, and then maybe winnowing down the remainder to maybe 10 shots. There are almost 100 shots there as it is.

As far as I know you had to submit an actual photo to enter, one specifically printed in Spectra. So if people paid money to enter then they probably can't exclude them.

I think the rules are a bit loose anyway. The previous competition had in its rules that you had to take the street photo on a street where there was a Spectra. But the winning photo didnt fit that.
