Having been busy studying for all my other exams,I somehow didn't realise that the notes for all the sociology lectures had been taken down! I'm panicking now, don't have a clue where to start studying. If anyone has any advice on what to study,or even a link to the notes themselves, you'd be my hero! Please help! By the way its the Contemporary Irish Culture and Society module.

If Tom Inglis is involved I'd imagine cover the role of the Catholic Church, and I have a vague memory of covering education and social movements in Ireland for it too. I did it three years ago though so...maybe have a look at your course outline and pick out a couple of topics.

Yeah, Tom is involved, so Catholic Church will show up somewhere. But format is different this year. Essay was based on is half of the course, so exam is more focussed towards second half, with one question being on Society/Economy(Celtic Tiger folks), and the other question incorporating a mix of culture and society(I think education is coming up here).

Now to get started on rest of it:D

I'm hoping he's anti-Catholic Church, because I went on a bit of a rant in that body & soul exam :D

What topics would you people recommend I study? How annoying is it that we cant just study the second half of the course! Well you can,but its risky cos the question on it in section B might be rubbish, and then you're screwed.

So how did it go folks?

My predeictions of what would come up were topically correct, but not in the right section(although Celtic Tiger came up in both). Otherwise it was a nice paper, passed easily enough, so all is well there.
