one way flight vs tour operator? to greece/malta

I have decided to go to either Malta or Greece to look for work for the summer. Is it better to book a one way flight with the likes of Ryanair or Aer Lingus and sort out hostel accomadation when I get there or would it be better to book a 1-2 week holiday with a Tour operator and look for work when down there im just…

im just trying to figure out if the tour operator would work out cheaper in the long run.
