    hi all,
does anyone have any experience with working / living in US?
I've googled a lot, but there's so much crap it's difficult to find good info.

I have a degree and I'm wondering what would be involved in getting papers/visa etc and job in USA?

    Hi there,

I worked in New York for 9 months. Left as I no longer wanted to stay living with brother at the time.

This was '94. I could have stayed and kept working in a very large law firm.
I didn't have a degree. I liked the people at the law firm and I got on well.

Do some serious research and it, I would hope, should pay off.

What's your degree in? Where do you want to go? What details do you need?

    best of luch with it.

    thanks light123.

from what people were saying in other threads, you basically need a company to sponsor you, and vouch for you before you can get approved for a visa (H1B visa or something I think).
the other way is to win the green card lottery.

I would probably want to live on the east coast, but I would give any major city a shot. I think the heat on the west coast would be a bit much for me.
my degree is in computer science.

in 94 i'd imagine it was a lot easier. homeland security at the moment is making it very difficult for immigrants i think.
i would possibly consider canada aswell, although i have never been so i'd have to go there first.
