Cheap B&Bs on the West Coast

    Hi all,

Going to head to the west of Ireland with herself for a weekend. Maybe Cork For one night and Clare/Kerry/Galway for another.

The plan is to go to Fota wild life park on the friday, then stay in Cork that night. The rest of the weekend would be spent either going through the burren or the ring of Kerry.

Can anyone recommend a good website for Cheapish B&B's or have any experience of them around those areas.

Sorry for my vagueness. Just don't really know where to start.

    Thanks.

I really recommend driving up Co. Clare coast, taking in Lahinch, Ailwee Caves, the Burren!

But unfortunatley don't have much advice about B+Bs, I stayed in a hostel at the top of Lahinch, it was lovely, a few 4 bed rooms so maybe they do doubles? Can't remember the name but I'm sure theres only one hostel there (could be proved wrong!) - nice pub overlooking the beach (great sunset!) and two night clubs to choose from!

Sleepzone in Galway City and at the Cliffs of Moher

Really nice places and great value for money - the place in Lisdonvarna is beautiful - could have stayed there for a while longer :)

This isn't a B&B, but it's in Baile an Sceilg on the Ring of Kerry. I stayed in it in November I think for about 5 days. Our double room was pristine, as were all the living areas. I think it cost 18 EUR per night (maybe that was per person) and you'd have to bring your own towels. But it really was nice.

All B&Bs I stayed in are about 30-40pp all along the West.
Recommend you stay one night in Sneem if you are going the Ring of Kerry. Burren is nice enough but Kerry is better. Maybe this is because I live too close to Clare and go often.

Good site I've used myself http://www.travelireland.org/cork/bed-and-breakfasts-in-cork.html
