    Howdy.

Has anybody used the Irish Writer's Centre manuscript assessment service? I've got a 60k word piece and a few smaller ones kicking around that I'd like to have looked at by somebody who actually knows what they are doing. I've shown them to a few people I know (friends/family), and the result has in every case been that they are good or that the person doesn't really know enough to comment (!).

The price tag is 250 quid, which is a bit high, but I would consider it if anybody here has had good experience with them.

    Cheers!

No, but it's good to know they are out there. Interesting.

Whether you send it to them or not,

you should look into writers groups or workshops in your area,

theirs generally some that are free and you can get other peoples input and see what other people are doing which is always good,

and the ones you pay for are generally facilitated by some one who knows what there at so there good to,

though your not likely to get someone to look over the whole thing there still useful ways of getting critique,
