    Small plane crashes in Co Mayo

    A small plane has crashed near Kilmovee in Co Mayo.

    The condition of the two people on board is not yet known.

    The plane had earlier left Ireland West Airport at Knock, bound for Weston Airport in Dublin.

    It crashed after it had turned back when it got into difficulty.

    The Air Accident Investigation Unit has been informed and emergency sevices are at the scene.

    RTE are now reporting 1 dead & 1 serious injury.

    Very sad news. The a/c was en-route to Weston but I don't know if the flight had originated there.

    Apparently a/c was Beechcraft Skipper EI-BHT .
    RIP to the deceased and a speedy recovery to the injured.
